The old road

The light was special this morning when I went to the nearby Cubillas reservoir to take some pics of the brilliant clouds.

The road over the dam still has the air of the times when it was built, fifty years ago, when the reservoir was made.

A lot of pine trees were planted around the reservoir then and when the weather is good, this forest is a favourite site for family picnics.

Now I only go there with my bike or my camera, but I can't forget all those summer days spent there with my parents and brothers and sisters, playing hide and seek and eating sandwiches with lemonade while my mother picked up enormous bunches of wild flowers to decorate her vases at home. (It wasn't forbidden then.)

You may think I am dreaming, but it is true.
