Another Graduation Ceremony
It
is amazing to see how fast time goes by!
Those
three students that are hiding behind the microphone stand are Angela, Daniel
and Nico. Just six years ago they came into school to do 1º ESO. They were so
young and so small that I felt pity to see them
in the corridors frightened and confused like a lost sheep.
Little
by little during these years they have been gaining confidence and now they have even dared to volunteer to make
the farewell speech to school on behalf
of all their classmates of 2º Bachillerato.
Their
speeches were very good. Short, moving and funny. They did not say anything “inconvenient”
and they made lots of references to those things that students will always
remember from the time they have spent at school in their studies of ESO and Bachillerato.
I am afraid they will forget their teachers and obviously they will
forget most of what their teachers have taught them, but I am sure they will
never forget those sandwiches eaten at break time at the school canteen, the
school Cruise in 1º Bachillerato, the trips with the Technology teacher, or the
art visits with the History teacher, their Twitter chat, or that time when
seven students got stuck in the lift because they were jumping and dancing
inside as if it were a disco!!
In
this photo you can see how formal and elegant they all look. In fact, they are
all waiting patiently for their Graduation Ceremony to finish as quickly as
possible so that they can go to celebrate the end of the exams and the school
year in their own way.
If you
would like to see how Nico has grown in all these years, have a look at this post I wrote about his brother Tote at his
Graduation of Secondary Education only four years ago.
My
congratulations to all these students and specially to my nephew Nico.
Good
luck in your University entrance examinations. Good luck in choosing your
University studies!!
All my love - Your aunt
